Very handy app to have when your bending pipe, easy to use!

First off, let me begin by saying Ive been bending pipe for more than 40 years so I do know a thing or two about what Im saying. The iBend Pipe app in its original form was a great app, straight forward and on the money. I recently downloaded the latest update, 4.0. Yes, the developer made a few changes in the app concerning the calculations. Yes, he changed from the "old fashioned" way to using the center of the bend. And I have been reading the reviews concerning this change. {Obligatory Soapbox} Heres my take on what Ive been reading: if you cannot adapt the way you bend pipe, if you cant wrap your head around the fact that there is more than one way to bend pipe, if you cant make your bender work for you instead of the other way around, then you really dont know how to bend pipe. As I mentioned, Ive been bending pipe for over 40 years. The changes Ive seen in this latest update make pipe bending, especially saddles, a whole lot easier. If you would spend 10 minutes and look at the app the night before you have to use it you would be able to use it easily. When you are in a crunch is NOT the time to figure out how to do something. The developer has gone to great lengths to make our job of bending pipe as easy as possible, short of making an app that would bend it for us. Dont bad-mouth this app simply because it takes you out of your "comfort zone" and shows you another solution to a problem. If you cant wrap your head around the fact that there is more than one way to bend pipe, maybe you should step away from the bender and let a professional take over. You just may learn something, so long as youre not too stuck in your comfort zone. Or change your career path. {End of Obligatory Soapbox} As far as the update is concerned, it is an excellent app. There is a minor bug (Ive already emailed the developer - very quick response from him, I might add) in that if you edit a bender the app doesnt save the changes and in order to restore the original values, you have to reset the whole bender list. Not a big deal (to this professional). Just need to remember to add/subtract the difference. 10 STARS if thats possible in the App Store.

The updated version of this app is terrible. The old was a lot easier to use. Please get rid of this new update.

is there anyway to reverse the update back to the simplicity the app used to have ? this is ridiculous it worked fine as it was why ruin a good thing . please fix this asap

I just want the math, I can do the rest of the thinking on my own. Bad update guys. Took an app I used daily and made it into one Ill rarely ever use and may possibly delete.

I have used this app extensively for the past few years on the job as a tool to quickly figure out the spacing between marks for basic offsets and saddles. The latest update (6/2015) unnecessarily made the whole process very confusing. I will not be using this app anymore unless it gets reverted back to how it was before this latest update. PLEASE BRING THE APP BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

Horrible update!! I used to get the distance between bends on my offsets and rolling offsets and now its just to complex and time consuming. It was way better when it was simple. Please revert back!!

I agree with all the brothers that this updated app totally ruined this once great app. I find it very unrealistic to use in the field. I wrote an email to the web designer about my grievance. Hope you all do the same. Thank you and be safe brothers and sisters.

I have use the old version for over five years that work great. The new version is a piece of junk

Too complicated I can figure centers out my self. I just like the simplicity of last version. I can figure everything thing out myself just easy to plug in numbers . Use to save time, now to time consuming. Dont need to have all the benders or conduit sizes. Cause every bender is different. I want last version back, if I can? Ill probably wont use app anymore, except for level. Go back to old calculator ways. Or provide fix to do both ways. Make an option to choose your preferred style to bend. Thanks, for great app. Just dislike new version.

Why on earth did this ap change so much. I used this every day at work to calculate offsets. Now it tells me that there are too many things wrong to make the calculation. This app is useless to me now.

New update ruined this app. Used to be very easy to punch in the math to get what you need. Very cumbersome to use now, and doesnt just give you the simple answers you need.

New update is awful. I want the ok version back. Worthless app now.

Please remove the update or allow everyone who dislikes it to use the old app.

Agree with the electricians here. Too much wasted time. I would like the other app back or a choice for the other app. Let people choose. Thanks..

Please bring old version back. There was no need to change app. It is awful now. No front of shoe calculations. I used this all of the time to bend odd degree offsets. Now its impossible to use. I give it 1 star only because I cant put zero.

I find this app. Extremely helpful in the field. But to all of you that think this app. Is going to help you be a pipe bending God. Learn your trade first. This app. Works like it needs to. Cant understand it take a pipe bending class.

The app was great before!! Change it back!!

Finally the simpleness from the prior update fitted into the newer version, much more suited for different operations, quicker yet capable and accurate for daily use...
